p.s. maybe we were/are on to something when we theorized over a possible ‘church link‘?

What in the new article ties into your church link theory?
I believe the previous news, about the phone call and church van, would fit this better.

The ‘p.s’ was an aside to the post linking the LAWeekley article. You are quite right, there is little in the above article that confirms this site’s ‘church theory’, we we’re simply pointing out that the latest bit of news regarding the phone call and church van was coincidental to our church theory posted below. Thanks.

I wonder if she has heard the recording and what her reaction was to it? It probably doesn’t really matter because, as the article states, they are 22 years behind the phone call.
I think her description of the inside of his car is pretty detailed. It was “pimped out, all white, with a marble gear shift.” It was enough to impress her. Someone out there has to remember this guy. Even just a first name would be SOMETHING.

Oh and this is from the article…
“In the 1980s alone, more than 50 black women, mostly prostitutes and drug addicts, were found shot, strangled or stabbed, their bodies left in Dumpsters and alleyways in South Los Angeles.”
WOW. I know it was the 80’s but… this is a staggering number of BLACK WOMEN MURDERED & DUMPED in a TEN YEAR PERIOD. How many serial killers did they have in South LA back then?
I have to assume that he killed a number of those women. The police work was so shoddy… maybe they didn’t collect DNA on some of those and the killer simply didn’t have his weapon with him. Does anyone else think it’s weird that he took the survivor to a location at first to get something? I think he didn’t plan on killing her that day, but changed his plan when he saw her and got her into his car. I think it was his house he stopped at, he had to grab his gun. Else, why risk being seen with her?

Brooke in Comment # 4 said, “The police work was so shoddy.”
How can you make a statement like that without working close to the investigations?
Do you even understand how hard homicide investigators have to work on EACH case? They can’t even get a full nights sleep sometimes before being called out on a NEW case.
The bottom line: there are far more murders than there are available police investigators. If you want to blame anyone, blame the killers! If you want to blame anyone, blame the people who engage in the high risk life styles of drugs and prostitution.
And, perhaps you are only now understanding that our world isn’t as safe as you once thought.
They are digging up bodies, 13 at last count, from a serial killer in New Mexico. Ditto for Reno, Nevada. Ditto for Florida where 4 murdered females have been linked to the same killer.
As for the killer taking the victim first to a location to get something is odd. Maybe he figured it wouldn’t matter since he planned to kill her, anyway. Or, maybe it was intentional to make her feel more secure while driving with him so he could get her somewhere isolated. She didn’t say, I don’t think, that the person visited actually saw her closely. But, maybe you are right….. he actually stopped at his own place?
